Angeliki Matopoulou

Angeliki’s journey on the path of Yoga began in 2005 and to date exceeds 1000 hours of training and continuing education.
She is a certified RYT® 500, E-RYT® 200 and YACEP® teacher with Yoga Alliance.
She is the first authorized Rocket Vinyasa Yoga teacher in Greece, certified by David C. Kyle.
In 2014 she founded Rocket Yoga Athens, with the intention of introducing and developing the Rocket Yoga method in her country.
In September 2018 she founded Pratyahara Yoga Center in Agia Paraskevi, which is now the permanent home of Rocket Yoga Athens. The center hosts daily classes in various styles of Yoga such as Hatha, Rocket Vinyasa, Aerial Yoga, Prenatal Yoga and more, as well as Teacher Training programs.

In January 2011 she completed her first 200-hour Hatha Yoga Teacher Training at Atmanasana Yoga Studio with Irini Ziakou and immediately began teaching. Her teaching was also supported by her previous experience in the performing arts, where she had already been teaching physical theatre and acrobatics to actors and performers.
In 2012 she traveled to Mysore, India, where she completed a second 300-hour Hatha Yoga Teacher Training at Yoga Darshanam School.
In 2014 she turned to more dynamic practices and traveled to Barcelona, where she attended a 100-hour training in Ashtanga Vinyasa 1st Series and Rocket Vinyasa with David C. Kyle.
In 2015 she attended Ashtanga Vinyasa 2nd Series training in Athens with Manju P. Jois, son of the founder of Ashtanga Yoga, Sri K. Pattabhi Jois.
In 2016 she returned to Barcelona to complete the first level of Rocket Vinyasa Yoga certification with David C. Kyle. In the same year she continued her studies in Ashtanga Vinyasa with Manju P. Jois.
In 2017 she participated in the Rocket Teacher Training in Athens as host and assistant to David C. Kyle and was certified by him as a Senior Rocket Yoga Teacher, receiving authorization to teach Rocket Vinyasa Teacher Training programs.
In 2024 she participated as host and collaborator in the Rocket Teacher Training at Rocket Yoga Athens, and in 2025 she was in Barcelona as an assistant to David C. Kyle, actively contributing to the training of new Rocket Yoga teachers.

Angeliki continues to deepen her knowledge through seminars and trainings.
In 2019 she had the opportunity to attend teachings by Sri Dharma Mittra in London.

She has worked as an actress, performer and dancer in numerous productions, and has also directed and choreographed movement for theatre performances. She has participated in theatre festivals in Greece and internationally, including China, Bulgaria, Serbia, Cyprus and Italy, as well as the Epidaurus Festival.
